Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to get started?

To get started with any of the above WiFi services, our engineering team will need floor plans and the address for the building that needs service. For both predictive WiFi designs and WiFi site surveys, we also like to have a design meeting where we discuss how the customer is planning on using the wireless network. For example, what business-critical applications and types of devices are there, and how many end-users need to be supported. Finally, for WiFi performance assessments and WiFi site surveys, we also require the customer to set-up access to the facility and an escort or point of contact that can assist us when on-site.

How does a predictive WiFi design and WiFi site survey account for capacity?

Before we get started with either a predictive design or WiFi site survey, we'll gather information about the types of business-critical applications, devices, and the number of users being supported on your environment. Using this information, we will pick the correct AP model and antenna. We will also establish a minimum required specification to provide the performance and coverage needed for your location.

Is a predictive WiFi design future-proof?

Yes, we will use the latest AP models in the design. This will ensure your network accounts for growth and technology changes.

What will the results of a WiFi performance assessment show?

The results will show comprehensive WiFi coverage heat maps itemizing the issues found on the network, in addition to recommendations around fixes for those issues.

What does the summary report from a predictive design and WiFi site survey include?

When we do a predictive WiFi design or WiFi site survey, we use 3rd party design software that gives us a lot of advantages—and a lot of data. It’s our goal to provide each customer with an extremely transparent and detailed report of our results. The report includes detailed findings of our walkthrough and an analysis of each access point location, including RF coverage heat maps. Our spectrum analysis provides data on all non WiFi related interference as well as channel and frequency utilization. We offer a full proposal and statement of work for the new wireless network that includes total cost, the materials and labor needed, and all deliverables to the customer. Finally, we create a complete project plan that details the process, step-by-step from the first day of our analysis through the design process, as well as deployment and support services of their new wireless network.
